The product

Baritex AI Operating System is a platform that combines AI and human support to help businesses and professionals grow. Visitors can run AI engines (Business Architect, Career Blueprint, Business Diagnostic), book one-on-one consultations, and follow structured growth plans. In 2026 the company joined LvlUp Ventures' accelerator.

The problem

Founders and professionals across Africa often need clear strategy, plans and structure, which usually means weeks of consulting. Baritex aims to deliver a first version in minutes and keep the plan moving afterwards.

My role

AI-Driven Developer / Designer (App Builder)Aug 2026 – Present

Building product flows across the Baritex web platform, combining AI-assisted development with UI/UX design and app integration.
Moving the platform off its no-code foundation onto a self-hostable codebase: a React single-page app, a Django REST API and PostgreSQL, containerised with Docker Compose behind Nginx.
Integrating AI capabilities (large language models and speech transcription) behind a server-side service layer.
Wiring wallet and payment settlement through Paystack and Flutterwave.

Engineering approach

01Model the business domains explicitly (billing, workspaces, documents, progress plans, referrals, operations) so that each engine writes into a shared, queryable core.
02Keep every AI call server-side, so keys, prompts and model choice can change without shipping a new client.
03Make data migration repeatable: an importer resolves record dependencies and can be safely re-run.

Key decisions

Own the stack

Moving from a hosted no-code builder to a standard React, Django and Postgres stack gives the team control over cost, data residency and the roadmap.

Idempotent, dependency-ordered import

Records are imported in topological order and keyed on their source IDs, so re-running a migration never creates duplicates.

AI behind an interface

Engines call one internal AI service rather than vendor SDKs directly, so the team can swap or combine models.
