01
The product
Coin Clash ("Skill matches. Real stakes. Fair play.") is a competitive mobile gaming platform from Saverr IO LTD. Players are matched in real time, enter tournaments, join guilds, climb leaderboards and earn referral bonuses. A wallet handles deposits and bank withdrawals, and support and admin consoles run the operations side.
02
The problem
Competitive mobile play needs low-latency matchmaking. When money moves through it, the platform also needs strong guarantees around payments, withdrawals and fair play, plus the operations tooling to support players.
03
My role
Co-founder2026
- Co-founder: product direction, scope and launch planning, together with my co-founder.
- Full-stack engineering across the Expo mobile app and the FastAPI backend (the majority of commits in the shared repository).
- Payments and withdrawals with Paystack, real-time matchmaking over WebSockets, and CI/CD to AWS.
04
Engineering approach
- 01A FastAPI service with domain routers (auth, game, matchmaking, tournaments, guilds, leaderboards, wallet, support, admin) on an asyncpg connection pool.
- 02Defence-in-depth middleware: security headers, request-size limits, cache-control rules and a strict CORS allow-list.
- 03Pushes to the backend path deploy automatically to EC2 through GitHub Actions.
05
Architecture
06
Key decisions
Async all the way down
Async Postgres access and WebSocket matchmaking keep a small instance responsive under bursty game traffic.
Lean infrastructure on purpose
A small, cost-aware AWS footprint until real usage justifies scaling it.
